Deshone Drummond was born and raised in East Orange, New Jersey.
For most of his professional life, he worked in the automobile industry. After roughly 14 years in the business, he began building something of his own—using the internet to help everyday people navigate one of the largest financial purchases they would make.
“How do the people who live in a community become owners and beneficiaries of what is being built around them?”
At the time, he thought the answer was local.
HE WOULD EVENTUALLY COME TO BELIEVE
THE QUESTION WAS MUCH BIGGER.
THE ENTREPRENEUR.

Deshone built a platform to help everyday people shop smarter before they ever stepped into a dealership. That work became Cars From Home, and online, millions came to know him as Deshone the Auto Advisor.
HE THOUGHT THE ANSWER WAS LOCAL.
HE WOULD EVENTUALLY COME TO BELIEVE
THE QUESTION WAS MUCH BIGGER.

A conversation with his cousin changed the way Deshone read Scripture.
IT DIDN'T MAKE THE BIBLE SMALLER.
IT MADE THE BIBLE PERSONAL.
IT WASN'T JUST A STORY ABOUT SOMEONE ELSE ANYMORE.
IT WAS A CALL TO A PEOPLE.

He didn't know everything that would follow.
He knew what he believed the first assignment was.
IT DIDN'T START WITH AN ORGANIZATION.
IT STARTED WITH PEOPLE.
A MOVEMENT
TOOK SHAPE.
ENTHUSIASM NEEDED STRUCTURE.
PRAYER BECAME
THE CENTER.
Not around Deshone.
Around prayer.
Around Scripture.
Around repentance.
Around preparation.
Around one another.
WASHINGTON, D.C.
THEN THE GATHERING BECAME PHYSICAL.
People who found one another online were meeting in person.
They prayed. They worshiped. They brought their children.
People were baptized. Relationships became real.
PEOPLE WHO FOUND ONE ANOTHER ONLINE WERE BECOMING A PEOPLE WHO COULD ACTUALLY GATHER.
BUT GATHER FOR WHAT?
WHAT ARE WE PREPARING TO BUILD?
THE GATHERING WASN'T THE END.
IT WAS THE BEGINNING.
THE ECONOMIC VISION
CAME FIRST.
A people cannot remain spiritually alive while remaining economically destitute. True restoration requires spiritual consecration paired with institutional capacity.

Land. Property. Stability.
Creating permanent generational foundations for families and community security.

Developing self-sustaining economic machinery capable of hiring and thriving.

He has taken no salary from House of Prayer 24·7. This work has been funded through his personal resources, business income and the support of others who believe in the vision.
